Sarvar Spa and Wellness

Sarvar Spa and Wellness, Hungary

You wouldn’t believe it, but in the middle of nowhere, in a low-profile city with 14 thousand inhabitants in Hungary, lies an incredible place: Sarvar Spa and Wellness, where you can spend a whole day relaxing or having medical or beauty treatment at an affordable price!

TRANSPORT

Sarvar is located between 3 capital cities: Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest! Within around 4 hours you can get to Sarvar by train from Budapest, it’s a bit more inconvenient to travel from Bratislava because the connection is not direct. It’s way easier to get there by car. There’re 5 parking places around the pools, all free of charge.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

Sarvar Spa and Wellness is really huge. Not as much inside, but there’s a whole more outside. Inside you’ll find several pools, either with thermal water or medicinal ones, with separated areas for families, so those not fond of kids get to relax undisturbed. The family zone, on the other hand, as you already guessed, is filled with running, splashing, jumping, and most of all happy children. Here are also the slides, and by the way, adults can use them too 😉 and of course baby pool or the one with a wave. Outside, it’s another 7 pools: adventure one, with slides, with thermal water, or the very shallow ones for babies.  In total there’re 18 pools and 14 slides!! Can you imagine?

PRICE

If you compare the entrance price to everything you’ll find inside and outside, you’d be surprised!! It’s just 17 Eur for adults and 9 Eur for kids. The ticket is for the whole day. There’re also options for late entrance: after 4 pm or 6 pm and the price is reduced accordingly.  The full price list is to be found here. But it’s even better to be accommodated in the hotel nearby and the entrance fee is covered then. We stayed in Park Inn by Radisson, for one night and we received 2 day passes for every member of our family. In addition, the hotel offers all-inclusive deals! What else do you need?

WELLNESS

Sarvar is not only about swimming and sliding! Sauna World, massages, treatments, face lifting, baths or wellness for couples. All you can dream of, and again the prices are very affordable. You can also buy some natural spa cosmetics before you leave in the newly open spa shop.

IS IT WORTH IT?

To be honest I really enjoyed the visit. It’s the first time we didn’t even have time to visit the city center, because we were so occupied at the pools. The one disadvantage is that the pools might be crowded during the peak season, but maybe the situation gets better when it’s off-season. I’ll have to confirm because we’ll definitely come back another time!!
