Szczyrk Mountain Resort in Poland

Nestled in the picturesque Beskid Śląski mountain range, Szczyrk Mountain Resort is one of Poland’s largest and most beloved ski destinations. If you’re lucky and it’s a proper winter, I can tell you it’s a winter paradise that offers something for everyone, from beginners to seasoned skiers.

Skiing and Snowboarding

With over 23 km of pistes, including 5 floodlit slopes, Szczyrk offers a variety of runs to suit all skill levels. The resort boasts modern lifts, including a 10-person gondola and several 6-person chairlifts, ensuring quick and easy access to the slopes. The slopes are well-maintained, but the weather conditions need to be good enough to keep the resort running as long as possible.

Practical INFO

  • Reaching Szczyrk is quite convenient. If you’re driving, the resort has many parking options. There are several free parking areas, including the transfer center at Kampingowa 5 and Salmopolska 28. For those who prefer paid parking, there are designated spots near the gondola and other key areas. Just remember, parking fees are waived for holders of the GOPASS Ski Season Pass.
  • It’s always better to buy your skipass online and way in advance. Buying them at the cashdesk is not only passé, but also more expensive.
  • You probably know that already, but if you’re staying longer, buy a few day pass, instead of a 24 hour pass. You’ll save some money this way.

There’re many advantages for the GOPASS card: discounts on parking, free skibus, food discounts and many more.

After a day of skiing or snowboarding, you’ll want to refuel with some delicious food. Szczyrk has several restaurants and cafes to offer. With all my heart I can recommend: Picollo Pizza Szczyrk on Myśliwska street. In overall, don’t worry about food at all, whether you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or a quick snack, you’ll find plenty of options to satisfy your hunger.
