ZOO and DinoPark Vyskov
My kids love animals and places, where they can observe, pet domestic animals, feed them or simply look. They also love being constantly busy, building sandcastles, playing, or jumping. That’s why we often choose ZOOs. They’re both: educating about and showing animals as well as guaranteeing lots of entertainment. And that’s pretty much a description of ZOO Park in Vyskov and DinoPark.
ZOO
It’s a smaller ZOO with mostly domestic animals. Cows and goats, hens and roosters, horses, and donkeys are among the most popular animals here. You can also watch monkeys or nutrias. Probably the biggest attraction is an enclosure for wallabies and parrots, here you can get really close to those species.
„GRANDMA’S FARMYARD“
It’s a contact part of the ZOO, where you can pet goats. I guess they’re already used to people. Besides goats, kids can meet pigs, sheep, and donkeys here.
„HANÁCKÝ STATEK“
Besides seeing the animals, kids can learn as well in ZOO Vyskov. Hanacky Statek is a center for environmental education. Kids can literally spend here hours. There’re few grounds full of attractions for kids. Farm tools and vehicles are situated on the ground floor. The next room on the first floor shows the cycle of bee life and the honey-making process. There’s a beekeeper suit and exhibition of items made out of honey. The upper floor is all about nature. Here, kids can watch short cartoons about the environment, learn how to recycle, or get to know more about flora and fauna. It’s really made with an idea, I liked it a lot.
DINOPARK
In order to go to Dino Park in Vyskov, you need to purchase a ticket to ZOO together with Dinopark. There’s a special dino train that’ll take you there. It’s not possible to go on your own and pay just for the DinoPark entrance. A combo ticket, which costs 220 kc is necessary.
This is actually the first Dino Park, we’ve been to and it’s truly awesome. Dinosaurs are making noises, some are moving. They’re natural sizes – huge and terrifying. Diplodocus and Argentinosaurus are pretty soft in touch, just hug them! Of course, that’s not all. Visitors can experience the 4D cinema, a short 12-minute interactive movie about dinosaurs. Kids can excavate dino bones in the huge sandpit or play in several different playgrounds. There’s a dino bike for the daredevils, bike ride 11 meters above the ground.
FOOD
In ZOO, there’s a restaurant, where you can buy a meal. Whereas in the DinoPark, there’re a grill bar and some fast-food stand. To be honest, the food’s not really good here. This is something that could be improved. It’s way better to pack your snacks than buy junk food there.
Overall, we really enjoyed the trip.
