Market Square: Begin your exploration in the heart of the city—the Market Square. Admire the colorful merchant houses, the impressive town hall, and many cafes serving traditional polish desserts. The arcades of historic townhouses add to the charm. Don’t miss the remnants of medieval defense walls nearby.

St. Basilica Erasmus and Saint Pancracy: Step inside this monumental medieval church. Its 22-meter-high altar and exquisite interior decorations are awe-inspiring. Outside, discover the tomb chapels and the statue of St. Jan Nepumocena.

Deers: Keep an eye out for the monuments of deer scattered throughout the city—they pay homage to the area’s rich hunting heritage.

Just a stone’s throw away, this historic spa district boasts healing thermal waters. Immerse yourself in relaxation and rejuvenation.

Venture further to discover the enchanting lakes dotting the landscape. Each lake has its own character and charm, perfect for tranquil moments and reflection. Perfect for a mornig hike. The entrance is free, but you’ll need to pay for the parking.

Accomodation

You simply can’t see everything that in one day, so I’d say: get a room! We stayed in Mercure Jelenia Góra, which has comfortable family rooms, pool, kids playroom and serve delicious breakfasts. It was around 20 minutes walk from the city center, but with a bus it was way faster.

If you prefer apartments over big hotels, why don’t you try Apartament pod Ratuszem or Plac Ratuszowy, both located in the heart of the city.
