Discover Prague with kids beyond the city center

Aquapalace Praha: Splash and Slide!

Aquapalace Praha is one of the largest aquapark in the Czech Republic. It’s situated in Čestlice, just outside of Prague and is a wonderland offering something for everyone. We were there during autumn, so could not see the external pools, but what was inside was definitely enough for one day.

Vodní svět (Water World): We enjoyed thrilling slides, splash in pools, and relax in whirlpools and just couldn’t leave this section. Even though walking up the stairs hundreds of times, we were definitely not tired. What surprised me, or even shocked a bit is the fact that the lifeguards didn’t check the age nor height of the kids. What’s more, it was hard to find a lifeguard there.

Saunový svět (Sauna World): For adults, because we were with kids we didn’t have the opportunity to check 14 types of saunas and rejuvenate in the luxurious SPA & Wellness center.

We stayed at the Aquapalace Hotel Cestlice, which offered entry to the aquapark and breakfast included in the price. We also got some welcome gift for the kids and could use their bathrobes. It was also a bit easier to walk in our swimsuits straight from the room to the pools. The parking is charged additionally.

Vestec Pond and Park: Tranquil Escape

Vestec Pond is a serene spot for relaxation, but also a place, where your kids can have fun on a fresh air. There’re playgrounds, paths, interactive games and many more to discover. We managed to visit the Vestec pond before the aquapalace hotel check-in and spent there at least few hours.

Krtkův svět: Playful Adventures

Because this trip was all about kids, we visited the Krtkův svět next day. It is located in Horní Měcholupy, and it’s simply fantastic. Don’t get mistaken with the name. It’s definitely not for the small kids only. I’d say: even playful teenagers can have fun there. Among many attractions you can expect here:

  • Rope Center: Climb, swing, and explore.
  • Climbing Structures: Let imaginations run wild.
  • Trampolines, air cushions: Bounce away!
  • Minizoo: Say hello to goats, pigs, and more.
  • Greenhouse: Learn about plants and animals in this unique project.

Most of the attractions are already included in the price. You can also use the inside cafe and another playground for kids. So even during the colder season, you can still visit it.

Westfield Chodov and LEGO® Store: Building Memories

Our last stop was in the Westfield Chodov to explore the LEGO® Store, which was the first one in the Czech Republic. We grabbed our Lego passport, got stamps and as always built our own minifigures.

So, have you been in any of the places?
